The board of the United Fund of Warren County has set the goal for its 2015 campaign at $660,000.  The Fund is the largest annual fundraising event in Warren County and is used to provide a wide variety of human services through the County.

“This is an ambitious goal,” said board president Lincoln Sokolski.  “It is the largest amount the Fund has ever tried to raise, but the needs of our agencies continue to grow.”

Jim Goodling, the Executive Director of the Fund, agreed, adding, “Everyone knows someone who has been helped by a United Fund agency.  Personal, family and emergency needs extend to every part of the County, and United Fund agencies are there.”

The campaign will begin with a special event on Friday, October 9, 2015, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Struthers Library Theater.  The event will feature free music and food, a short presentation on the United Fund and a silent movie on the big screen.

Typically, the campaign extends into the new year before the goal is met.  The progress of the campaign, as well as information about the United Fund and its member agencies, can be found at and on Facebook.

Gifts to the United Fund can be made through payroll deductions at many places of employment.  Contributions can also be made online or by mailing a check to Box 844, Warren, Pa.  16365.

All gifts to the campaign go directly to the member agencies.  The United Fund uses funds from other sources to pay for all administrative and campaign costs.
