On April 17, 2014, the United Fund of Warren County held its annual Appreciation Luncheon to celebrate the successful completion of the 2013 campaign. A total of $675,688 were raised in support of twenty member agencies. About 100 people attended the event, held at the Holiday Inn in Warren.
Special recognitions were extended to Bingaman & Sons Lumber Company, the Times-Observe, Radio Partners and the Kiwanis Club. Bingaman & Son, with corporate and employee donations, increased their giving by seventeen times over their 2012 contribution. The Times-Observer and Radio Partners, representing the newspaper and radio stations in Warren County, were recognized for their exceptional support of the campaign. The Kiwanis Club has for at least ten years made annual contributions, now totaling over $20,000.
Comments were made by Arthur Steward, Vice-President of the Board; Barb Tubbs and Major Ron Starnes, Campaign Co-Chairs; and Jim Goodling, Executive Director. In a skit about the campaign, Mike Hostovich, previous Director of the United Fund, portrayed the Ghost of Campaigns Past, and Jim Goodling was the Ghost of Campaigns Present. It featured a remarkable number of bad jokes.
